Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how InterviewLab ("we," "us," or "our"), a proprietorship firm owned by Sangita Rajpurohit, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our platform (the "Platform"), including our website, mock interview scheduling, Google Meet–based interview sessions, and related feedback and analysis features.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and any other details you provide when signing up as a candidate or interviewer.
Google account information: When you join a mock interview via Google Meet, we may access basic profile information (such as your name and email address) associated with the personal Google account you use to join the session. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or other Google data beyond what's needed to schedule and run your Meet session.
Session recordings: With the express consent of both the interviewer and the candidate, we record mock interview sessions conducted over Google Meet. Recordings include audio, video, and any content shared during the session. As part of our current offering, raw recordings are used internally to generate feedback and are not shared with or made downloadable by candidates or interviewers.
Feedback and analysis data: AI-assisted and human-reviewed analysis generated from your session recordings, including notes on communication, structure, and interview performance. This written feedback — not the raw recording — is what is shared with the candidate.
Usage data: Information about how you use the Platform, such as pages visited, bookings made, and device/browser information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Schedule, run, and manage mock interview sessions between candidates and interviewers.
- Generate feedback and performance analysis from recorded sessions.
- Improve interviewer quality and the accuracy of our analysis.
- Communicate with you about bookings, feedback, and Platform updates.
- Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Platform.
- Improve our services, including our blog and preparation content.
We do not use your Google account data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. Recording Consent
Sessions are only recorded when both the interviewer and the candidate have given consent. By booking or joining a session, you confirm that you consent to being recorded for the purposes described in this Policy. If you do not wish to be recorded, you should not join a session.
4. How We Share Information
- Interviewers and candidates: Candidates receive written feedback derived from their own session, not the raw recording; interviewers may see relevant candidate information needed to conduct the session.
- Service providers: We may share data with third-party providers who help us operate the Platform (e.g., hosting, storage, or AI-analysis providers), under obligations to protect your data.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of InterviewLab, our users, or others.
We do not share your session recordings or personal data with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain account information, session recordings, and derived feedback for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may request deletion of your recordings and account data as described in Section 7.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including recordings and Google account data, from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You may:
- Request access to the personal data and feedback we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate account information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to any legal retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent to future recordings by not participating in further sessions.
Please note that raw session recordings are used internally to generate feedback and are not made available to candidates or interviewers as part of our current offering.
To exercise these rights, contact us at interviewlab2026@gmail.com.
8. Google User Data
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the minimum Google account information needed to identify participants and run Meet-based interview sessions, and we do not use this data for any purpose beyond operating and improving InterviewLab's mock interview and feedback features.
9. Children's Privacy
InterviewLab is intended for candidates preparing for bank and public-sector exams and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
